BCCI secretary Jay Shah opened up on the possibilities of Hardik Pandya replacing Rohit Sharma as the full-time captain of the Indian team. Following India’s victory in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and the USA on Saturday, Rohit made the decision to retire from Twenty20 international cricket. When Rohit was not playing, Hardik used to be India’s captain.
With Rohit no longer a part of the T20I setup, the BCCI has the task of choosing its new full-time captain in T20Is. While Hardik is in the race to replace Rohit, Jay Shah said that Rohit’s replacement will be announced after discussion with the selectors.
