Vikas Divyakirti was born into a modest family in Haryana on December 26, 1973. Vikas Divyakirti’s two elder sisters are DIG in CBI and Software architect in the United States. Dr. Vikas Divyakirti studied at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Bhiwani area of Haryana for his education. He joined Zakir Husain Delhi College of Delhi University for his scale, from where he did BA in Hindi.He pursued further education by obtaining Master’s, MPhil, and doctoral degrees, along with postgraduate qualifications in Hindi and English.
Due to his strong educational background he is considered one of the most good instructors for UPSC examinations in India. Dr. Vikas Divyakirti started training at Delhi University after completing his studies. At the same time, under pressure from his family, he started preparing for UPSC examinations, and eventually attained AIR 384 in 1996.
After working for some time in the Ministry of Home Affairs, he decided to pursue his love for training and founded Drishti IAS Coaching Center in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi in 1999. Dr. Vikas Divyakirti also played himself in the 2023 film named’ 12th Fail’ starring Vikrant Massey. The film depicted the challenges and triumphs of UPSC applicants. Vikas Divyakirti’s last announcement was as Section Officer in the Official Language Department in the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. He returned to training by relinquishing after a time and founded Drishti IAS Coaching Institute in 1999.
