Antilia, a 27-storey building, is located in the heart of Mumbai. This magnificent building includes three helipads, parking for 168 cars, a swimming pool, a spa, a healthcare center, a temple, a terrace garden, several large elevators and a theater. A staff of 600 people works to keep Antilia running smoothly.
The huge size of the building requires high-tension electrical connections. Reports suggest that Antilia consumes a considerable amount of electricity. The electricity used by Antilia alone can power about 7,000 middle-class homes in Mumbai.
Antilia is designed to withstand earthquakes of up to eight magnitude. Its construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2010, costing around Rs 15,000 crore. It is said that Antilia has every amenity imaginable. The employees of Antilia are well paid, reportedly their salary is Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh per month.
Spread over 1.120 acres, Antilia’s interior design features lotus and sun motifs. Each floor of the building has a different design and different materials have been used.
Talking about the electricity bill, Antilia consumes around 6,37,240 units of electricity every month. This means that the monthly electricity bill is around Rs 70 lakh on an average, and according to reports it can go even higher sometimes.
