S Jaishankar speaks in favor of Sikh community amid “extremism” in Canada

The foreign minister said that the ongoing problem with Canada has persisted for some years due to the government’s “permissiveness” regarding terrorism, extremism and violence in the country.
Washington DC: Emphasizing that the Modi government has paid great attention to the issues of the Sikh community,
According to S Jaishankar, minister of external affairs,Extremist groups are a “small minority” and do not speak for the entire community.
He was asked about the concerns of the Sikh community amid the ‘Khalistan’ issue, to which Mr Jaishankar said the issue does not represent the views of the entire community.
Everyone is aware of how much attention the Modi government has given to the concerns of the Sikh community over the past ten years, according to S Jaishankar.
“I don’t think the current topics of discussion are ones that apply to the entire Sikh community.
People who talk about terrorism, separatist people, people whose arguments involve violence…it is a small minority , and the relevant governments should take impartial action. We should not consider this a matter of the entire community.”
The foreign minister also said that the ongoing problem with Canada has persisted for some years due to the government’s “permissiveness” regarding terrorism, extremism and violence in the country.
He said the ongoing problem with Canada is due to the country’s “sanctioning” of terrorism, extremism and violence.


The truth is that for the past few years, we have had a persistent issue with Canada and the Canadian government, Jaishankar added. And the current issue with terrorism, extremism, and violence actually centers around permission.
