Reliance, owned by Mukesh Ambani, loses Rs 73470 crore in a single day.

Mukesh Ambani is the owner of Reliance Industries, India’s most valuable company by market valuation. According to Forbes, his net worth as of July 22 is Rs 976320 crore and he is Asia’s richest person. He is the chairman of Reliance Industries, which has a presence in several sectors including oil, retail, telecom and others.

The company’s market valuation fell by Rs 73,470.59 crore to Rs 20,30,488.32 crore on Monday. This happened when Reliance shares fell over 3 per cent after the company reported a 5 per cent drop in June quarter net profit.

The blue-chip stock fell 3.49 per cent to Rs 3,001.10 on the BSE. It fell 3.56 per cent to Rs 2,998.80 during the day’s trade. On the NSE, it fell 3.41 per cent to Rs 3,004. In terms of trading volume, 1.90 lakh shares of the company were traded on the BSE and 98.37 lakh shares were traded on the NSE.
