Rahul Gandhi will be named Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha by a resolution passed by the Congress Working Committee.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution to appoint its former president Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, the party’s highest executive forum.
At the meeting, Gandhi, who won from Wayanad and Rae Bareli, said he would think about the offer (to become LoP), leaders familiar with the matter said, adding, however, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge politely reminded him that since the CWC has passed the resolution in this order, he should accept the post.
“In another resolution, the CWC unanimously requested Rahul Gandhi to take the post of LoP in the Lok Sabha,” stated Congress general secretary KC Venugopal following the CWC meeting. These issues should be raised on a large scale inside the Parliament as well. Rahul Gandhi is the most suitable person to lead this campaign in the Lok Sabha.
