Prabhas’ alleged 150 crore salary is justified, as Kalki 2898 AD and two previous releases have collected the same amount in the opening weekend itself!
With Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas has once again proved why he charges such a hefty amount for every film. Read on!
Over the last few years, Prabhas has established himself as a major force in Indian cinema. After Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the actor has gained a massive fan following across the globe. Keeping this in mind, producers are happy to invest big bucks in his projects, and if we look at his filmography, all his films after the Baahubali franchise have been enormous both in terms of production value and scale. Also, it comes as no surprise that the superstar gets a hefty salary, as the box office result of Kalki 2898 AD is self-evident!
It is true that after Baahubali 2, the actor struggled to achieve success as per his status until Salaar. Whenever Prabhas’ name is associated with a film, the expectations of the trade and box office goers skyrocket. Unfortunately, he had to go through a period of struggle after Baahubali 2 and it continued till Salaar. Things changed with Salaar, but even before the big film released, the actor was getting offers for big films, and that too with lucrative paychecks.
Even though the exact numbers and the system of remuneration are not known, it is rumoured that Prabhas’ salary is around Rs 150 crore for each film. The figure is indeed huge and sounds too high. However, the producers are happily shelling out this amount, and we think the superstar deserves it. The reason is simple – the Baahubali star’s charm makes him bankable!
