Nothing Phone 3: Expected release date, specs, features and design
Speculation has started about the possible release of the Nothing Phone 3, but Nothing Phone fans will have to wait a little longer for the phone to arrive.
The Nothing Phone 1 was quite popular, with a unique design featuring a transparent back and LED lights and a price tag that was significantly lower than big phone brands like Samsung and iPhones.
While the Nothing Phone 2 fixed some of the bugs and flaws found in Nothing’s first flagship, the Nothing Phone 3 could come equipped with more artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities than the previous two models.
The Nothing Phone 3 is in the early or mid-stage of development. However, here’s everything we know so far about the next-generation smartphone’s specs, design and possible release date.
When is the Nothing Phone 3 coming out?
Estimated release date: July 2025
Nothing Phone fans have been hoping for a new flagship in 2024, but a recent post by Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing Technology Ltd, has disappointed them.
Pei said in a lengthy post that “It’s important that we get the product right, integrating hardware and AI in a way that is useful and puts a smile on people’s faces – hopefully this will be improved and introduced gradually, starting with the Phone (3) next year.”
Nothing Phone 3 rumored specs and features
Integrated AI, better camera, better battery, new chip
Speculation suggests that the Nothing Phone 3 will likely feature a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Although this chip is not on par with the one found in larger smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it is a lower-cost Snapdragon Zen 3 chip variant that will bring more generative AI, photographic, and high-end gaming capabilities to the Nothing Phone 3. The chip will also boost the speed of the Nothing Phone 3 to 3GHz, supporting three 2.8GHz performance cores and four 2GHz efficiency cores.
