More than 200 people killed in Israel-Palestine conflict after surprise attack by Hamas
Israel–Palestine conflict: Hamas’ armed wing announced it had launched “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” and said it had fired more than 5,000 rockets in a “20-minute first attack”.
Palestine said at least 198 people were killed in Gaza, while 40 were killed in Israel as 5,000 rockets were fired by militant group Hamas in a surprise attack. Israel declared war on Hamas and launched airstrikes, vowing to avenge the horrific attack.
