Modi likely to become PM, Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar endorse Modi as NDA leader
BJP MP Rajnath Singh formally nominated Modi for the post of BJP Parliamentary Party leader, NDA Parliamentary Party leader and Leader of Lok Sabha.
Senior BJP leaders, newly elected MPs and allies on Friday endorsed Narendra Modi as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The endorsement came during a meeting held in the Central Hall of Parliament for the purpose of formation of the Cabinet.
BJP MP Rajnath Singh formally nominated Modi for the post of BJP Parliamentary Party leader, NDA Parliamentary Party leader and Leader of Lok Sabha. “We are fortunate to have a sensitive Prime Minister like Modiji… I want to emphasise that this alliance is not an obligation but a promise for us,” Singh said.
Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu expressed his support and praised Modi’s tireless campaigning efforts. “We congratulate as we have won a remarkable majority. Throughout the election campaign, I saw the tireless efforts of Prime Minister Modi. He worked tirelessly day and night for three months and with great determination. Our numerous public meetings and a big rally in Andhra Pradesh had a significant impact on our electoral success,” Naidu said.
