Maldives President Mohamed Muizzo calls his India visit a success
Maldives President Mohamed Muizzo has described his two-day visit to India as a significant success, a positive step in the bilateral relations of the neighbouring countries. President Muizzo was in New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi this Sunday.
Speaking to Maldives state broadcaster, PSM, he expressed his satisfaction over the visit and the results achieved.
Describing his visit as a win-win for both the Maldives and the wider region, President Muizzo said, “I was delighted to receive the Prime Minister’s invitation and I am equally delighted to be able to attend the swearing-in ceremony. I am also really grateful to have been able to hold high-level meetings with the Prime Minister, the President and Foreign Minister Jaishankar.”
