Kejriwal alleges BJP betrayed Delhi’s Jats on reservation issue, questions Centre on their addition in OBC list
Aam Aadmi Party public convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday hit out at the BJP- led Centre, professing that Delhi’s Jats were being neglected and treated unfairly on the issue of reservation, and questioned when they would be included in the Central government’s Other Backward Classes( OBC) list.
Kejriwal moment said he met representatives of the Jat community at his hearthstone, and claimed that they expressed their displeasure over being allegedly betrayed by the saffron party on the issue of reservation for the last 10 times.
On social media platform X, Kejriwal mentioned that the representatives of the Jats also told him that injustice was being done to the community coming from the public capital.
AAP principal Kejriwal explained that,” This issue can be understood veritably simply with an illustration In Delhi University or its related sodalities, Jats of Rajasthan get the benefit of reservation, but not the Jats of Delhi. What can be a bigger inequality than this?”
He also claimed,” The Prime Minister had assured the Jat community of Delhi in 2015 to resolve this problem. After this, in 2017, 2019 and 2022, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also assured the Jat community of Delhi about this. still, it’s veritably sad that despite these assurances from the country’s top leader and the alternate most elderly leader, the pledges remain unfulfilled.” Meanwhile, the AAP also claimed that the Jat delegation that met the party chief has expressed gratefulness for the letter written to the Prime Minister demanding addition of Delhi’s Jats in the Centre’s OBC list.
