Kalki 2898 AD Box Office: It beats Baahubali: The Beginning’s 418 crores to become the 8th highest grosser of all time in India, knocks Salaar out of top 10
Kalki 2898 AD is not just breaking box office records but also shattering them. As per a report in Saccanilk, Nag Ashwin’s blockbuster film earned Rs 22.30 crore (across languages) on its 8th day. This means that the mythological science fiction movie has made over Rs 400 crore. As of right now, the movie has brought in a total of Rs 414.75 crore. With Kamal Haasan as Supreme, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwathama, Deepika Padukone as Sumati, Prabhas as Bhairava, and Disha Patani as Roxy, Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 27.
The film, supported by Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies, has been released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. . A post shared on the official Instagram page of Kalki 2898 AD reveals that the film has broken box office records in North America as well. They shared a poster featuring Prabhas in the character. The poster reads, “The fastest epic blockbuster to gross over $14 million in North America.” The side note reads, “The supreme lord of box office…is leaving no stone unturned with his most powerful record-breaking rules.” On Saturday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the one-week box office collection of the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD. He wrote, “#Kalki2898AD remains super-stable on Day 7 [Wednesday], performing strongly on #BO… Key centres are contributing a major chunk of the revenues. Double-digit collections on weekdays show its strong hold… It is also an indication that the film has gained acceptance, which in turn is reflecting in its numbers. #Kalki2898AD is all set to hit a double century in Weekend 2.”
