Henry Cavill is going to be the new Wolverine, it’s not a fluke
The release of Deadpool and Wolverine, which looks to be a blockbuster event, is much anticipated by Marvel fans. With just a few months left for its release, the excitement level is at an all-time high. Amid the growing fan theories and rumors, one name that has garnered the most attention is Henry Cavill, who has been linked to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his departure from DC as Superman. Speculation initially suggested that the actor might play Captain Britain, but recent reports suggest otherwise. According to a scoop from Giant Freakin’ Robot, Cavill is set to wear Wolverine’s iconic claws, the role originally immortalized by Hugh Jackman for nearly two decades. Meanwhile, thanks to the beginning of the multiverse saga, Cavill’s version will be from a different Earth.
A source close to the production told the portal, “Henry Cavill will be seen as the multiverse version of Wolverine in Deadpool and The Wolverine. When he shows up, Cavill will be making his debut in the Marvel universe, and he will be dressed in a long brown cloak. Many speculated that Cavill might play Captain Britain, a character who has long been desired by fans and who many had been urging to be chosen for the part. It’s not happening with Deadpool and Wolverine, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the future.”
The story of Deadpool and Wolverine is very strange as it will be a mix of different universes. According to reports, just because Henry Cavill may play Wolverine doesn’t mean he can’t be in other Marvel movies as a different character, as there’s still a possibility we might see Cavill in a future Marvel movie. In the movies, maybe as someone else. There is a lot of potential in the MCU and Cavill could be a part of it in many different ways.
