Donald Trump, MAGA followers react to Kamala Harris’ DNC speech: ‘Will never be my president’
Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention was closely watched by her rivals. While Donald Trump commented live on Harris’ speech on his platform, Truth Social, his supporters and other MAGA Republicans also let it be known that they don’t like her.
Harris used the DNC platform to take aim at ‘non-serious person’ Donald Trump, calling the consequences of his actions a ‘serious’ threat to the US. She said Trump’s prior willingness to violate the law indicated he was likely to be reckless in a second term if he is re-elected to the White House.The judgment against Trump in the E Jean Carroll case and his conviction in the fraud case in New York were mentioned by the former prosecutor.
“Consider how Donald Trump would use the enormous powers of the US presidency, in the absence of any safeguards, to serve his one and only client—himself—rather than to improve your lives or the security of our country.” Harris cautioned. During a live video broadcast on his Truthout social media account, Trump asked, “Is she talking about me?” in response to the comment. Following her speech, Harris moved to a different area of the United Center where she gave a quick speech to a gathering of employees and attendees at the postconvention speech party.
On the tenth anniversary of her and her husband Doug Emhoff’s marriage, Harris accepted the Democratic presidential nomination. “We just decided we would celebrate our anniversary with all of you,” she said. Former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin and former The View co-host Desiree Rogers were present at the party. “This has been a great convention,” Harris said, “and let’s celebrate tonight.” “Our fight is deeply and genuinely born of a love of country,” Harris continued.
