Did Zuckerberg plot against Trump in 2020 election campaign? Former US President makes big claim in his new book
In his soon-to-be-published book, former US President Donald Trump has written that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg plotted against him during the 2020 US presidential elections. In the book, “Save America”, Trump has claimed that if the Meta CEO did it again, he would have to “spend the rest of his life in jail”.
Earlier too, businessman-turned-politician Trump has repeatedly accused Zuckerberg of interfering in the 2020 presidential elections, which he lost to US President Joe Biden. Interestingly, Trump’s remarks come at a time when Meta has taken steps to assure conservatives that it will not affect this year’s campaign.
The coffee table book penned by Trump, which is set to be published on September 3, features a photo of him with the Facebook founder at the White House. Under the photo, the former president wrote that Zuckerberg “used to come to the Oval Office to visit me. He would bring his very nice wife to dinner, behave as well as anyone could, while always plotting to put a lock box of shame in a true conspiracy opposing the President.
” The former president mentioned the $420 million donation he and his wife Priscilla Chan made to support election infrastructure during the 2020 election while criticizing Zuckerberg. “He informed me that Trump was unique among Facebook users. However, at the same time, it was used against me for unknown reasons,” Trump continued.
