Deadpool and Wolverine box office collection Day 1 early report: Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer aims for the biggest Hollywood opening of the year.

Deadpool and Wolverine box office collection Day 1 early report: All signs are clear that the Ryan Reynolds-Hugh Jackman starrer latest Deadpool and Wolverine has taken a stellar opening at the Indian box office, registering the best figures for any Hollywood film released this year. The Marvel superhero movie is anticipated to premiere in India at a cost of at least Rs 20 crore, according to preliminary projections by trade tracker SacNilk.

A Rs 20 crore plus figure would make Deadpool and Wolverine the biggest Hollywood opener of the year after Godzilla x Kong, which had earned Rs 12.60 crore earlier this year. According to industry tracker SacNilc, the superhero film has already grossed over Rs 12 crore.

The film has received rave reviews worldwide and is expected to be the film that bounces Marvel back after the Avengers drop. With great word of mouth, Deadpool and Wolverine is likely to break some recent Hollywood records in India.

When it comes to top advance bookings for Hollywood films in national chains, Deadpool and Wolverine was already in the top 10 with 2.13 lakh tickets sold, ahead of films like Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Captain Marvel, Black Panther 2 and Mission Impossible 7.
