Current Arvind Kejriwal News Updates: On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court declined to intervene in the Enforcement Directorate’s arrest of him in connection with the liquor policy scandal. The AAP supremo is likely to be produced before the court on Thursday March 28. Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in the now-defunct Delhi Liquor Policy case. A day after his arrest, the trial court sent Arvind Kejriwal to ED custody till March 28.
Later, CM Arvind Kejriwal moved the Delhi High Court challenging the ED’s arrest and remand in the excise policy case. He also requested for an urgent hearing on the petition, which was rejected by the High Court. The court is scheduled to give its order in the case today, March 27. In his petition, the Delhi CM had sought his immediate release, terming the arrest and remand by the ED as “illegal”.
