Zomato gets GST demand order worth ₹23.26 crore for FY 2018-19
On March 31, the online meal delivery service Zomato announced that on March 30, Karnataka tax officials sent the business a GST demand order totaling Rs 23.26 crore for the fiscal year 2018–19.As stated by the business in an exchange filing, input tax credit and interest, as well as any penalties.
“The Company is advised that it has received an order from the Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Audit), Karnataka for an audit of GST returns and accounts for the financial year 2018-19, the date of which Demand is growing, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations. With relevant interest and penalties, the GST amount was Rs 11,27,23,564/-, totaling Rs 23,26,64,271/-.
