YG Entertainment girl group, BLACKPINK, won their first Billboard Music Award for their chart-shattering music tour with BORN PINK.
Blackpink, one of K-pop’s powerhouse girl groups, received praise for their outstanding achievements in touring. The quartet was crowned ‘Top K-pop Touring Artist’ for their BORN PINK world tour, which included 66 concerts in 34 cities in 22 countries. With an impressive attendance record of over 1.8 million fans, BLACKPINK’s tour cemented its place as the most-attended concert series by a K-pop girl group.
Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa achieved the milestone, surpassing BTS’s Suga’s D-Day and TWICE’s world tour for top K-pop touring artist. With this, Shut Down Singer became the first K-pop group and second girl group in history after Destiny’s Child to win the prestigious award.
