VIVO ANNOUNCES OTA UPDATE 5.5G SUPPORT
Oppo is introducing 5.5G connectivity to the smartphone industry. Now, it’s time for other companies to follow suit and give their smartphones the latest connectivity. In this highly-competition market of smartphones, there is no chance of slowing down when it comes to new technologies.As a result, Chinese producers are at the forefront of getting ready to implement the most recent 5.5G standard.
After the announcement of 5.5G connectivity in the commercial market, Oppo jumped in and became the first in the industry to introduce a smartphone with the new standard. After this Xiaomi 14 Ultra demonstrated the high speed of 5.5G network. Now, the latest company to reveal its 5.5G-supported devices is Vivo.
The Chinese company has made an official announcement regarding the integration of the latest standard in two of its popular series. Vivo X Fold3 series and Vivo X100 series will have 5.5G (5G-A) connectivity. This will be done through an OTA update that will start rolling out in April. Like other companies, Vivo claims up to 300% increase in network speeds with the implementation of the latest 5.5G connectivity.
