The date is finally here. Actress Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are set to tie the knot today after keeping their relationship under wraps for years. The couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony, which will be attended only by their family and close friends.
Sonakshi and Zaheer will have a registered marriage, which will take place at the former’s apartment in Bandra. The couple will then host a party at celeb-favourite restaurant Bastian in Mumbai. Before the ceremony on Sunday, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20 and a mehndi ceremony on June 21. Sonakshi’s parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha were also present at the party.
Shatrughan’s presence at the party put to rest all rumours that he was unhappy with the marriage and was unlikely to attend the ceremony. The rumours gained momentum when Shatrughan told Times Now that he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s wedding and said, “All I can say is that nowadays kids don’t take consent from their parents, they only inform them.”
