Sadhguru Health Update: Spiritual guide posts a video showing his quick hospital recovery.
Despite his pain, he continued his regular activities, including Mahashivratri celebrations on March 8.
Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who is currently recovering from an emergency brain surgery at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital, has shared an update through a video in which he is seen reading a newspaper.
He shared the mellow music-accompanied video along with the hashtags #Sadhguru and #SpeedyRecovery on his social media accounts.
‘Lost Me in You’ is the poetry that Sadhguru shared on March 23.
The poem expresses gratitude and love and reflects his life experiences.
“In extreme pain and pleasure, in extreme ecstasy and equanimity. This science of knowing the internal mechanics never disappointed me even for a moment. Living a life of extreme discipline and abandonment, crossing peaks, valleys and plains , why am I still here,” his post read.
Sadhguru was admitted to Apollo Hospital after severe headache and life-threatening bleeding in the skull. Despite his pain, he continued his regular activities, including Mahashivratri celebrations on March 8.
Later an MRI revealed massive bleeding in the brain. A team of doctors performed emergency surgery to relieve bleeding and after the surgery, Sadhguru was taken off the ventilator.
His care is being directed by senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital, Dr. Vineet Suri. Dr. Suri, in an update on Sadhguru’s health, said that he had severe headaches for the last 4 weeks, which he continued to ignore as he went about his normal activities.
“He had a headache for the last 4 weeks. The headache was very severe and he was ignoring it as he had to do his normal activities. He even performed Mahashivratri celebrations on March 8, despite the fact that he had excruciating pain. On March 15, the pain became severe and then he consulted me,” news agency ANI quoted Dr Suri as saying.
He further said that he advised Sadhguru to get the MRI done at 4 pm, but he had an important meeting at 6 pm, which he did not want to miss. According to Dr.Suri, the MRI revealed extensive cerebral haemorrhage.
“However, an MRI was later done, and the MRI showed that he had massive bleeding in his brain. It’s outside the brain and under the bone. There were two massive bleedings – one that happened about 3 weeks ago and The second one, which happened about 2-3 days ago,” said Dr. Suri.
A team of doctors comprising Dr Vinit Suri, Dr Pranav Kumar, Dr Sudhir Tyagi and Dr S Chatterjee performed surgery on Sadhguru within hours of his admission to relieve bleeding.
According to Apollo Hospital, the spiritual leader was taken off the ventilator after the surgery.
