Bihar CM Nitish Kumar takes a dig at India Bloc leaders at NDA meet BJP-led alliance set for Modi’s swearing-in for third term
Taking a dig at India Bloc leaders, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar said at the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Friday that those who managed to win the Lok Sabha elections this time will all lose in the next election.
The newly-elected MPs of the BJP-led NDA today met to elect Modi as their leader, paving the way for him to be sworn in as the country’s prime minister for a record third time. When NDA leaders gathered in Parliament to declare Modi as the alliance’s leader, Bihar CM Nitish extended his support, saying he and his party will always be with the NDA government.

“…next time when you come, some people who have won here and there, next time sab haarega. Humko puri bhaaras hai’…” Nitish Kumar said.”All of Bihar’s outstanding tasks will be accomplished. We are quite happy that we have united and that we would all cooperate with you, PM Modi. I wanted you to take the oath of office today, but you will do it as prime minister on Sunday. We will all serve under your direction and be with you no matter when you swear an oath, he declared.
Earlier today, as NDA leaders started arriving at the Central Hall of the old Parliament House for the parliamentary party meeting, the Janata Dal United (U) chief was seen touchingin observance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet. The crucial meeting comes ahead of Modi’s swearing-in, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday. During the parliamentary party meeting today, senior members of the alliance such as TDP’s N Chandrababu Naidu, JD(U)’s Nitish Kumar and Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde joined the PM for a meeting with President Draupadi Murmu and handed over to her a list of MPs supporting him.
