NEET-UG ‘paper leak’ accused scored 85 in physics and 5 percentile in chemistry: Report

Anurag Yadav’s scorecard released by the NTA shows that he has scored 185 out of 720 marks, with an overall percentile score of 54.84 (rounded off).

Amid the controversy over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2024 results, alleged scorecards of four candidates allegedly involved in the paper leak case have surfaced.

According to a report by NDTV, the scorecards also include that of Anurag Yadav, one of the persons arrested in connection with the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case. Anurag has been taken into custody while the other three are being questioned.

Anurag’s scorecard released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) shows that he has scored 185 marks out of 720, with an overall percentile score of 54.84 (rounded off).But a deeper look at his grades in each subject area reveals an odd discrepancy. Anurag received grades of 85.8% in physics, 51% in biology, and merely 5% in chemistry.

Anurag’s all-India rank is listed as 10,51,525, while his category rank as an OBC candidate is 4,67,824.

One of the remaining three students scored 300 out of 720 marks in the exam, resulting in a percentage of 73.37 (rounded off). Despite scoring 87.8 per cent in biology, this student scored 15.5 and 15.3 per cent in physics and chemistry, respectively.

The other two students’ scorecards, on the other hand, paint a different picture and demonstrate strong performance across all three subjects. Out of 720 possible points, one of these students received 581, while the other received 483.
