Motorola Edge 50 Fusion review: Feature-rich smartphone at a competitive price

Motorola recently expanded its Edge series in India with the launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. Over the past few years, Motorola’s Edge series smartphones have become popular for their design and performance in terms of camera and display. The Edge 50 Fusion is no exception. It has a vegan leather texture on the back and premium-looking colours.

The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and has a starting price of Rs 22,999 (base variant). The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a number of features such as Dolby Atmos surround sound, AI-powered shot optimisation and audio zoom.

With a vegan leather back, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion gives a premium tactile experience. Three color options are available for the smartphone: Hot Pink, Marshmallow Blue, and Forest Blue. We got the Marshmallow Blue variant for review which looks good and further enhances the premiumness of the device.

Overall, the smartphone looks premium for its price with great design and colour. However, we recommend using a back cover with the phone as it gets dirty easily.

Display

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion features a 6.67-inch Full HD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2400x1080p resolution. The color production of the display is satisfactory and it is good. However, the display lacks support for HDR. Still, the viewing experience is good with deep contrast and vivid colours.

The smartphone has adaptive brightness and adjusts itself according to the surrounding light. We did not face any issues while using the phone outdoors. Another feature worth mentioning is the edge lighting on the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion which illuminates the edges when receiving a notification or a call.
