C. Ashwini Dutt has produced the epic dystopian science-fiction action drama under his banner, Vaijanthi Movies. After the success of the Prabhas starrer, he has been giving several interviews. But fans are excited ever since he confirmed the sequel and revealed that about 60% of the shooting has been completed.
Kalki 2898 AD 2 Release Date
C Ashwini Dutt revealed during the discussion that the release date has not yet been decided by the makers. There are rumors that Nag Ashwin and company may accelerate production in order to fulfill the 2025 deadline. But after the massive blockbuster, expectations from the sequel are sky high. And we are sure that the makers of the Prabhas starrer won’t rush and underperform.
Is Deepika Padukone going to be replaced in the sequel Kalki 2898 AD?
According to a Times Now report, C Ashwani Dutt and his team had initially decided to wait for Deepika Padukone to return from her maternity leave. The actress is due to give birth to her first child in September 2024.
But a source close to the developments revealed, “But now, with the clamour for a sequel growing with the growing success of the first film, the makers might decide to replace Deepika with someone else in the sequel.”
Deepika Padukone has received a lot of praise for her role as Sumati.In the Kalki Cinematic Universe, she is unquestionably just as significant as Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. We really hope that these are just unfounded rumors, as moviegoers would be devastated if they turn out to be true.
