Hunter 450 will likely be Royal Enfield’s next big launch

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is expected to launch in India in the second half of this calendar year and here’s everything we know about it
For quite some time now, Royal Enfield has been rigorously testing its upcoming naked roadster, which takes inspiration from the Himalayan 450. It may be called the Hunter 450, as it may be positioned as a more premium alternative to the well-received Hunter 350. Improved performance and handling characteristics.
The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is expected to function as the adventure tourer’s road-oriented equivalent. . Given the consistent response from the test mules, it could be launched in India in the second half of this calendar year. Its primary rival will be the Triumph Speed 400, but it will also face competition from the recently released Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and KTM 390 Duke.

The motorcycle will cost less than the Husky and its Austrian equivalent, and it will resemble the Speed 400 in terms of neo-retro appearance. As for the design, there will be a circular LED headlamp, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank, a single-piece seat and a compact tail section with LED tail lamps and LED turn signals.

While sharing the main frame with the Himalayan 450, it is expected to feature a different sub frame design. Powering the Hunter 450 will be the same Sherpa 450 engine that debuted in the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. At 8,000 rpm, this 452 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DOHC mill generates 40.02 PS and 40 Nm of peak torque. Nm at 5,500 rpm in consultation.
