Deepika Padukone accused of faking pregnancy during ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ promotions
Deepika Padukone is currently prepping for her upcoming film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Recently, the entire cast of the film came together for a promotional event where pregnant Deepika proudly showed off her baby bump.
Ever since announcing her pregnancy, Deepika has been facing trolling on the internet, with some people accusing her of faking pregnancy and even wearing a fake baby bump. Videos from the promotional event went viral, with several comments being made about her baby bump. “It’s a fake baby bump… surrogacy,” remarked one user. “Waiting for a baby bump makes wearing high heels dangerous, right?” asked a different user. One person merely commented, “Fake baby bump.”
Despite the negativity online, Deepika hasn’t responded to the trolls. It seems like the mother-to-be Deepika is choosing to ignore the unnecessary comments made on her. Directed by Nag Ashwin, best known for the critically acclaimed ‘Mahanati’, ‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ is her ambitious third film. The film stars Prabhas as Bhairava, while Keerthy Suresh lends her voice to his AI droid companion Bujji (BU-JZ-1). Deepika Padukone plays Sumati (SUM-80), a pivotal character who runs away with the Kalki avatar.
