BJP dissociates itself from Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on farmers’ protest

The BJP has dissociated itself from the remarks made by its MP Kangana Ranaut regarding the farmers’ protest in New Delhi. In a press release issued on Monday, August 26, the BJP said, “The statement made by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in the context of the farmers’ protest is not the party’s opinion. The Bharatiya Janata Party disagrees with Kangana Ranaut’s statement. Kangana Ranaut has no right to speak on party policy issues.”

Earlier on August 25, Kangana had re-posted an interview clip in which she had alleged, “In the name of farmers’ protest, there could have been anarchy like Bangladesh in India too. External forces are planning to destroy us with the help of insiders. They would have succeeded if our leadership did not have the foresight.

” She also claimed without evidence that sexual assaults and murders have taken place under the guise of protests. Her comments angered her own party leadership and senior BJP leader from Punjab Harjit Grewal told India Today that, “It is not Kangana’s job to speak on farmers. Her statement is her personal view. PM Modi and BJP are farmer friendly.

Opposition parties are working against us and Kangana’s statement is also doing the same. She shouldn’t say things like this about religious organizations or delicate religious matters. BJP supporters were also incensed about Kangana’s remarks.

In its press release on August 26, the BJP also said, “Kangana Ranaut has been directed by the Bharatiya Janata Party not to make any such statement in future. The Bharatiya Janata Party is determined to work on the principles of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ and social harmony.
