Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant pre-wedding: Will Justin Bieber earn $10 million for his performance?
Canadian superstar Justin Bieber is set to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding ceremony tonight. The pop superstar joins a long list of entertainers who the Ambani family has roped in for their pre-wedding ceremonies over the past months.
According to reports, Justin will walk away with $10 million for a private performance in Mumbai, India this Friday. The paycheck is reportedly higher than the amount the businessman has paid other superstars. It was previously reported that Rihanna earned between $8 million and $9 million for the couple’s pre-wedding ceremony in Jamnagar in March. It has also been reported that Akon charged an estimated $500,000 for his performance at the couple’s after-party.
Katy Perry gave a performance at Ambani’s Grand Cruise celebration for his guests. The Backstreet Boys, Pitbull, and singing icon Andrea Bocelli were among the other performers.
This $10 million payout is more than Justin’s usual performance fee which typically ranges between $2.5 million and $6 million for private performances. Booking agent Seattle Entertainment Group has confirmed that the singer charges a minimum of $2 million.
The much-anticipated wedding will see Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant marry Radhika, daughter of Indian industrialist Viren Merchant. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for July 12, with several lavish celebrations planned.
