Bigg Boss OTT 3’s Ranvir Shorey opens up on breakup with Pooja Bhatt:
‘The biggest scam of my life’
Ranvir Shorey has turned out to be an interesting contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 3. In a recent episode of the reality show, the actor made a rare and indirect mention of his past relationship with actor-director Pooja Bhatt, calling it the biggest scam of his life. During the episode, he also spoke about the tough time he went through after his mother’s demise. He shared how tough it was to deal with the loss.
Going down memory lane, the actor recalled that he was shooting for his film Lakshya in Ladakh in 2002 when he got a call from home that his mother was not well. But he couldn’t leave the set until the shoot was over.
He also revealed that during that time he also faced the “biggest scandal” of his life with an actress.
He said, “During the same time, I also faced the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. When I was unable to deal with it, my brother asked me to come with him to the US for some time. I did a six-month acting course in the US and borrowed money from my brother. In 2005, I began filming for The Great Indian Comedy Show after coming back from the US.”
“At that time, the public loved my work and two of my long-pending films were approved for release. They opened in theaters consecutively in less than a week,” he continued. I at last thought that my career as an actor had stabilized and I had achieved success after those movies.”
Their relationship
Pooja and Ranveer were great friends before their relationship turned into a romantic one. They eventually moved into an apartment together. But then things went south, and they split up.
In the early 2000s, Pooja had alleged that Ranveer used to get angry after drinking alcohol and physically assault her. However, Ranveer dismissed these allegations and denied the accusations of him being an alcoholic and abusive boyfriend. In 2010, Ranveer married actress Konkona Sen Sharma and the couple gave birth to son Haroon in 2011. The couple separated in 2015. Pooja developed feelings for Manish Makhija, a.k.a. Udham Singh. After being wed in 2003, the couple eventually divorced in 2014.
