There won’t be an opening ceremony for the 2023 ODI World Cup, according to numerous sources.
It was initially reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had planned a lavish opening celebration at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 4, the evening before the quadrangular event began. The event was expected to include Bollywood stars like vocalists Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Asha Bhosle in addition to actors Ranveer Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia.
A laser spectacle and fireworks display were also anticipated to kick off the ICC Cricket World Cup in India in 2023.

Reports state that the Captain’s Day celebration, which was scheduled to take place after the inauguration ceremony, is still going ahead as planned. The event will be attended by all 10 of the participating teams’ leaders, including Indian captain Rohit Sharma. A laser show will follow the event.
